Aromatherapy & Gemstones

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is a form of alternative medicine that uses volatile liquid plant materials, known as essential oils (EOs), and other aromatic compounds from plants for the purpose of affecting a person's mood or health. Essential oils differ in chemical composition from other herbal products because the distillation process only recovers the lighter phyto-molecules.

Aromatherapy is a generic term that refers to any of the various traditions that make use of essential oils sometimes in combination with other alternative medical practices and spiritual beliefs. Popular use of these products include massaging products, medicine, or any topical application that incorporates the use of essential oils to their products.  It has a particularly Western currency and persuasion. Medical treatment involving aromatic compounds may exist outside of the West, but may or may not be included in the term 'aromatherapy'. (wiki)

Some essential oils can cause skin irritation so great care should always be taken if using them at home. Registered therapists will often perform a skin patch test first by applying a small amount of the oil to just one area of the skin, usually the inner arm.

Pregnant women are generally advised to seek there doctors advice before having aromatherapy and there are several oils which the pregnant women should not use. The oils should never be taken internally and only a couple of drops are needed when using them for steam inhalation and in the bath.

People suffering from skin allergies and those recovering from any type of surgery should not use aromatherapy without advice from there doctor. Aromatherapy is also not suitable for people suffering from epilepsy, thrombosis or high blood pressure.

Gemstone therapy is an alternative technique for strengthening the body and resolving issues and patterns. Gemstones carry vibration rates as our bodies do.  By placing certain stones with certain vibration rates within the aura (your bio-energetic field), that vibration rate also changes.

The size of the stones does not matter.  A small stone's vibration rate is same as a larger one.  The explanations of properties are only a guide and beginning. Find out what is true for you by using your intuition and discovering what the gems hold for you. Keep your stone with you as much as possible, keeping notice to your moods, daily interactions, and your dreams. Try asking the question, "What does this stone do?" before going to sleep. It may help your unconscious/higher self/your inner guide tell you what the stone does for you.  Through entrainment, your body will pick up the vibrations of the stone creating a better whole health you!

We carry a full line of stones that sometime are not on the site.  If there is a stone that you don't see, please inquire.  Sandra hand picks all the stones that are carried on this site for what she feels are good qualities that the stones possess.
