Honor your parents, teachers, and elders. Earn your living honestly. Show gratitude to every living thing. Spiritual precepts of REIKI Some information about my energy work. First and foremost, I am an energy worker. I work as an instrument. Instruments need to be practiced as I do. I have been attuned (over a period of many years) as a Reiki Master. Should you choose to have energy work, I believe it is the energy of the universe. I have seen miraculous things with the energy that has been channeled through me. Whether you call it "God", "The Great Creator", "The I Am", or any other many names, my beliefs are that energy is energy. It cannot be destroyed or created. We are but mere drops in the lake of life, each sharing life in the pond. I live by the belief that energy that I channel or move is no better, different, or worse than others by another name. We are all one. Because I am a Reiki Master - Teacher (as well as other modalities), it allows me to teach and facilitate attunements so that others can spread Reiki healing energy. If you would like information regarding upcoming classes, please email her. I am also currently focusing to attune as many children/teens as possible to facilitate as much self empowerment and healing to mother earth and others. Please contact me regarding my Reiki For Children and/ or adult classes. ******* Reiki is a Japanese healing art that was produced by Mikao Usui in the late 1800's in Japan. Mikao Usui was a devout Buddhist, who, in his desire to understand and work with methods of healing, developed Reiki. "Reiki" is a Japanese word meaning universal life energy. Reiki's initial stages can be learned by anyone regardless of their personal philosophy and/or spiritual belief system. Through the initiations of Reiki comes a "re-awakening", a re-opening of the stronger healing potential that lies within us all. The energy is allowed to flow into ourselves, and then we, act as an instrument - through which this energy passes onto another individual via our hands and in the cases of distant healings, intent. Reiki treatments restore balance and harmony to the whole person, bringing about a sense of wellness. The person being treated is not "healed" by the Reiki practitioner. The client's healing comes from the universal energy that flows through the practitioner. The person giving Reiki is not drained of their own life energy, but actually is replenished during the session also. Reiki practitioners are taught also to protect themselves from taking on the pain and dysfunction of another person. Reiki has been known to relieve pain and acute problems quite rapidly. Many report different experiences while having a Reiki treatment, such as intense heat, tingling and spontaneous past life glimpses. A sense of well being and harmony is most always felt after a session. Five spiritual precepts have been handed down from Mikao Usui as a part of the oral tradition of the Usui System. The precepts remind us to be as conscious as possible, letting go of worry and anger, learning to honor and cultivate appreciation. The Usui System is not a religion. The precepts are there for practitioners of all religions to remind us of the same basic moral principles most of us learned as children: Treat others as you would want others to treat you.
